Dying Inferno
A body set alight by another.
A great fire caused by the two.
Late night phone calls, sweet morning texts and beautiful compliments.
A human being so sweet attached to these things.
These things,
the fuel of the blazing inferno.
A blazing fire among two lovers,
so great you’d think it can go on for a very long time.
But then....
it slowly loses its heat
its light.
The red and orange dancing flames begin to disappear...
,slowly.
No more phone calls
no more sweet texts
no more sweet human being just
A stranger remains
behind black plumes of thick smoke…..
Why do we introduce ourselves as one thing to somebody and then later reveal a completely different side of us?
Why do we display certain characters and struggle to keep up the appearance as time goes on?
Why do we choose to stop feeding the fire we started with the fuel that kept it going the whole time?
How does it happen?
Why does it happen?
Where does that amazing personality go?
Is it okay to think it was never part of you in the first place...
that it was just to lure me
to lure me into what I didn’t think was danger at the time?
Was it for you to suffocate me
in the very same fire you started,
to suffocate me
in the thick clouds
of a fire you decided to kill?
