Existential Crisis
Dead end road ahead
I sit and stare at the lost
wanderers
Attempt to make their way to
places unknown
Busy bodies and a cascade of
depression
All filling the same space
Spaces that seemingly have no end
in sight
The people are all trapped within
the mirage of their own making
A universe within a universe
Trying to find a greater power
that has been fed to them since birth
An idea
A notion that certain acts and
balance of peace within one’s life is the key
The key to an endless life
A notion that traps them right
where others want them to be
And a fear that seeking anything
outside of this realm is prohibited
That seeking such would lead to
damnation
A threat to gift that could or
could not exist
The truth that there could be something
more
A darker, more distraught image
of what they seek
A cloak that lies over the world
that they think they know
All consuming, all powerful, and
unruly
Godly in power, yet instinctive
in nature
That to reach true enlightenment
one must understand
That man’s teachings are simply
just that
Nothing more and nothing less
