protects their darling child.

hope every man on Earth

hates peoples sons who try.

hope every man on Earth

sees their daughter cry.

hope every man on Earth

begins to question why?

hope every man on Earth

says "no, not my child"

and then

hope

he wonders if he'd ever let a guy like himself,

date his precious angel.

and then

hope

he wonders if he'd ever let a guy like his crowd,

date his precious angel.

and then

hope

he wonders if he'd ever let a guy like a member of his family,

date his precious angel.

and then

hope

he gets it.

That that girl on the street,

that girl at the mall,

that girl in the club,

that girl in a class

that girl in the car,

that girl in her room,

that girl in her home,

that girl in her crib,

that girl in the womb,

is someone else's daughter too.

And maybe just maybe,

the world will change a little.

Maybe just maybe.

Maybe this is just
